Thanks to everyone who sent me official oldering wishes, too. Internet is currently intermittent at home, which makes for difficulties in replying to anything longer than a few sentences. It's rapidly getting lighter, alas, but yesterday I saw a snowbow.
Lots of dark seafaring ducks that won't let me near enough to venture identification about, too. I think they're scoters of some sort, but I'm not sure those grow here in winter.
